How to set slide transitions

How: select a slide in the filmstrip, then Slide ▸ Change transition (or the Transition button) and pick an effect in the side panel — nine: fade, slide in from four directions, flip, cube, dissolve and zoom — set the duration, and use “Apply to all” to set every slide at once; you will see it when presenting. “Try it with a sample” below opens a sample deck with the transition panel already open, or drop in your own .pptx. Downloaded .pptx files keep the transitions in PowerPoint.
