Do I need to sign up?

No. Converting and downloading need no account. Signing in is only for saving the result to the cloud and continuing on another device.

Is the result watermarked?

No. Nothing is watermarked and there is no limit on how many times you convert.

Is my file uploaded to your servers?

No. The whole conversion happens in your browser. Open DevTools (F12) and watch the Network tab to check. The one thing that uses the network is the text-recognition engine for scans, downloaded once and only if you agree.

How big a file can I convert?

There is no limit. We no longer measure your file up front — that number was ours, not any device’s real ceiling. We just start; if this device genuinely cannot fit it, the browser says so and we pass on the reason, a way forward, and an event ID.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes, with the same features as on a computer. Very large files will simply take longer.

Will you start charging later?

It is free and unlimited today. We avoid absolute promises nobody can back, and there is no hidden sign-up wall or usage cap either.

Why did colours and borders disappear?

The free spreadsheet library we can run in the browser can’t write that part of the styling — this is a stated limit, not an error. Use “Open in Tutu Office” to recolour and add borders in the online spreadsheet, then export.

My new Excel won’t open the .xls — what now?

That’s exactly what this is for: once it is .xlsx, current Excel, WPS and the online spreadsheet all open it directly.

Do formulas turn into values?

No. Formulas are kept as formulas and recalculate when opened.
