FAQ

Why not promise “free forever”?
Because nobody can back that claim. What we can say: it is free today, unlimited, with no hidden sign-up wall — and the editors run in your browser, so that part costs us nothing at the margin and we have no reason to ration it.
What is the difference between free and paid?
There is no paid tier today. Cloud saving and version history need servers and are open to signed-in users at no charge.
Could features move behind a paywall later?
Nothing already shipped gets taken back. If a paid tier ever happens it would sit on the server side — more storage, team features — not lock away what already runs in your browser.
How is this sustainable?
The editing and conversion run in your browser, so serving cost is close to zero: a hundred thousand simultaneous users do not change our bill. That is exactly why we can leave it open.
